The Los Angeles Kings, a prominent team in the National Hockey League (NHL), announced on Friday that their celebrated defenseman, Drew Doughty, has undergone surgery for a fractured left ankle. The damage occurred during a collision with Tanner Pearson in a preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights on September 25, leading to Doughty being side-lined on a month-to-month basis.

At 34 years old, Doughty has established a significant presence in the NHL.
