Fox, who is anticipated to become a free agent in 2026, has had the option to sign the three-year deal on the table before the commencement of the regular season. By postponing this decision to the next summer, Fox broadens his chances for a four-year $229 million maximum extension with the Kings. Alternatively, he could be in line for a five-year, $345 million supermax deal, if he earns a spot on an All-NBA team.
