Braves Fall Short Against A’s Despite Early Lead, Lose 5-2

The Braves aimed for another series victory as Jose Suarez took the mound against the Athletics and pitcher Aaron Civale. Perez continued to impress, working another scoreless inning, an efficient 4.1-inning outing that included six strikeouts.

In the ninth, the Braves fought back as singles from Harris and Dubon put the tying run at the plate with one out. Acuña, however, struggled in his at-bat, striking out and handing the game over to Baldwin. Unfortunately, Baldwin popped up to second base, sealing the Braves’ fate with a final score of 5-2.

Atlanta will look to bounce back in a getaway game scheduled for 12:15 PM ET, with Chris Sale on the mound as they seek to capture the series.
