“Esa Lindell’s consistent performance on the blueline has made him an indispensable asset,” announced Jim Nill, the team’s general manager. “His role in all key game situations, his exceptional penalty killing skills, and his ability to shoulder the toughest defensive assignments make him an invaluable part of our defensive core. We are thrilled to have him on board for another five seasons.”
Lindell’s Attachment to Dallas
Lindell didn’t hide his enthusiasm about staying in Dallas. Expressing his love for the city, the organization, and the fans, he said, “Everything’s so good here… I wanted to stay here.” This sentiment was also shared on the team’s official Twitter handle, @DallasStars, with a heartwarming message and the hashtag #TexasHockey.
