Dylan Larkin Trade Saga Takes New Turn as Red Wings Explore Options

Additionally, he mentioned that Michigan native and unsigned restricted free agent Jason Robertson could emerge as a potential option in this trade scenario.

“Regardless of being on the list or not, all kinds of teams have called to see what’s what, many of them interested in getting involved,” LeBrun added. This influx of inquiries has given Brisson and Larkin more to consider. The Stars have yet to extend an offer to Robertson, though discussions are ongoing. This could become significant if an extension is not finalized soon.

Acquiring Robertson’s RFA rights in exchange for Larkin, coupled with a new contract for him in Detroit, would represent a substantial gain for the Red Wings.
