Giants’ Harrison Bader Suffers Foot Injury in Scooter Accident

Back in 2014, while playing for the University of Florida, he faced a 19-game suspension following a scooter accident that left him unresponsive for a time. Reports from the Gainesville Police Department indicated that he had collided with a parked truck after hitting a curb, and there was a noted odor of alcohol at the scene.

Giants manager Tony Vitello did not provide specific details regarding Bader’s recent crash, but the team is certainly hoping for a quick recovery for the 32-year-old outfielder. Bader has had a notable career since being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the third round of the 2015 MLB Draft. Making his major league debut in 2017, he has since played 12 seasons, recorded a .244 batting average, hit 93 home runs, and racked up 336 RBIs. He was also awarded a Gold Glove Award in 2021 while with the Cardinals.

Throughout his career, Bader has played for several teams, including the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, and Philadelphia Phillies before joining the Giants.
