LA Clippers to Boost Home-Court Atmosphere with Groundbreaking Strategies
In the professional world of sports, home-court advantages carry significant importance. The LA Clippers, always keen to enhance their home-court edge, are contemplating an innovative approach – distributing complimentary burgers to spectators.
A Spectacular Upgrade: The Intuit Dome
The Clippers have recently unveiled their brand new sporting hub, the Intuit Dome, which was inaugurated on a preseason Monday night. Among the standout features of the arena is “The Wall,” designed to accommodate 51 unbroken rows of spectators. The structure aims to recreate an ambiance more akin to a college fieldhouse rather than a professional stadium worth $2 billion.
However, team owner Steve Ballmer has a simpler approach to inspire fans to raise the decibels – the lure of free food.
Boosting Crowd Noise: An Innovative Strategy
Steve Ballmer, famed for his fervor at courtside during Clippers games, is keen on the new stadium gaining a reputation for its deafening crowd noise. The state-of-the-art stadium boasts a plethora of advanced and dazzling features. With a total of 1,400 toilets, long queues for restroom breaks during games are set to be a thing of the past.
Dominating the skyline is the enormous “Halo Board,” occupying almost an acre’s worth of space. However, one of the less glamorous yet high-tech features of the stadium is the ability to monitor noise levels from individual seats.
Linking Crowd Noise to Concessions
Ballmer envisions leveraging this unique feature by rewarding fans who consistently generate the most noise with free snacks during future games. Currently, there are no official promotional strategies in place connecting fan noise to concession rewards.
The Clippers are set to host the Phoenix Suns in the forthcoming regular-season home opener next Wednesday. This innovative endeavor to boost crowd involvement and enhance the home-court advantage is just another testament to the Clippers’ commitment to their fans and the sport.
