Rogers Communications and Prime Video have announced a significant 12-year agreement that will bring Wednesday Night Hockey broadcasts and three playoff series per season to Canadian viewers, beginning with the 2026–27 season. This partnership marks an evolution in Prime Video’s role, as it previously aired Monday Night Hockey since the 2024–25 season.
“Over the past two years, Prime Video has been a valuable addition to the NHL’s media lineup in Canada, joining Rogers in bringing marquee NHL games to Canadian fans,” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman in a press release. He expressed excitement about the deepening relationship between Prime Video and Rogers, emphasizing a commitment to serve English and French-language hockey fans across Canada with premium NHL content for years to come.
While an official schedule has yet to be unveiled, the Vancouver Canucks are expected to feature in eight Wednesday games during the 2026–27 season. Their first Wednesday matchup is set for November 25 against the Detroit Red Wings in Detroit, followed by their inaugural home game on December 30 against the Seattle Kraken.
