Raiders’ Player Update for the Upcoming Denver Broncos Game
As the Raiders gear up for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, seven key players, including receiver Davante Adams and running back Zamir White, have been officially ruled out. However, Maxx Crosby, the three-time Pro Bowl defensive end, remains a questionable inclusion.
Key Player Injuries
Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler, is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury and is off the team roster awaiting a trade decision. White encountered a groin injury during Wednesday’s practice and has been off the field since. Crosby, who returned to practice on Friday after nearly two weeks, was somewhat restricted in his training due to a high left ankle sprain sustained during a Week 2 victory against the Baltimore Ravens.
Impact of Injuries on the Raiders
The injury plague continues to haunt the Raiders as they approach Week 5 in the National Football League. Coach Antonio Pierce commented, “Just like everybody else, we’re battling, and we’ll see come Sunday who’s ready to go.”
In addition to Adams and White, the Raiders will be missing starting right tackle Thayer Munford Jr. (ankle/knee), linebacker Luke Masterson (knee), and tight end Michael Mayer, who is absent for personal reasons. Safety Trey Taylor and cornerback Decamerion Richardson are also unavailable for Sunday’s game.
Current Player Lineup
With Masterson out, rookie Tommy Eichenberg is set to start as linebacker, while Divine Deablo (oblique) remains a questionable starter. Starting right guard Dylan Parham (Achilles) is also questionable for Sunday’s game after limited participation in Friday’s practice. Alexander Mattison will be the starting running back, with a record of 87 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 5.1 yards per carry.
